Who We Are
JJM Fire Consultants Ltd is a specialist fire safety consultancy providing passive fire installation, inspection, and survey services, fire risk assessments, fire engineering, compartmentation drawings, emergency evacuation plans, fire safety consultancy, and professional training for occupied, complex, and highly regulated buildings.
We work with NHS hospitals, private healthcare providers, schools, universities, commercial landlords and occupiers across both public and private sectors, housing associations, local authority property teams, responsible persons, facilities managers, contractors, and project teams.
Our approach is practical, structured, and technically informed. We focus on delivering clear reporting that clients can act on — identifying defects, prioritising actions, and providing practical recommendations that support compliance-led decision making.

Our Directors
JJM Fire Consultants Ltd is led by four directors with complementary expertise in fire safety, fire engineering, compliance, health and safety, and operations management.
Christopher White

Fire Safety Technical Director
Christopher is the Fire Safety Technical Director at JJM Fire Consultants Ltd, bringing over 25 years of frontline and technical fire safety experience. A former military firefighter who went on to serve in the fire and rescue service, Christopher combines operational fire-fighting knowledge with deep technical expertise in passive fire protection, fire engineering, and fire safety consultancy. His career spanning military and civilian fire services gives him a unique understanding of fire behaviour, building safety, and emergency response. Christopher leads the technical direction of the company across healthcare, commercial, education, and highly regulated sectors, overseeing the quality and technical rigour of all fire safety deliverables and ensuring that every project meets the highest professional standards.
Matt Sewell

Compliance & Health and Safety Director
Matt is the Compliance and Health & Safety Director at JJM Fire Consultants Ltd. A former fire and rescue service inspection officer and operational firefighter, Matt brings hands-on operational experience combined with specialist knowledge of fire safety inspection and compliance. His background in frontline fire-fighting and formal inspection roles gives him a thorough understanding of both the practical and regulatory aspects of fire safety. Matt is responsible for overseeing all compliance, health and safety consultancy, and quality assurance across the business, ensuring that JJM delivers services that are fully compliant with current legislation, approved codes of practice, and industry best practice.
Jayne Taylor
Operations Director
Jayne is the Operations Director at JJM Fire Consultants Ltd. A former Senior Fire Safety Officer within the NHS, Jayne brings extensive experience in healthcare fire safety management, compliance, and operational governance. Her background in NHS fire safety gives her a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by healthcare estates, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the coordination of fire safety across complex hospital environments. Jayne is responsible for the day-to-day management and operational delivery of all projects, ensuring effective client communication, project coordination, resource planning, and programme management — keeping every project on track and every client informed throughout the process.
Paul Williams

Director — Fire Safety & Head of FRAs | Approved Engineer (Fire)
Paul is a Director at JJM Fire Consultants Ltd and heads the Fire Risk Assessment division. As an Approved Engineer (Fire), Paul is recognised for his specialist fire engineering competence and is approved to carry out fire engineering assessments to the highest professional standard. Paul holds membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM) and the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (MIIRSM). He is a Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessor registered with NAFRAR, a qualified Fire Door Inspector, and a BAFE SP205 Validator. Paul completed Fire Safety Officer Modules A&B at Moreton-in-Marsh and served as a Fire Service Instructor with London Fire Brigade. He has extensive experience working within NHS healthcare environments, where he delivers fire risk assessments, fire engineering solutions, and fire safety strategies for acute hospitals, mental health facilities, and community healthcare buildings. He leads the delivery of fire risk assessments — including construction phase fire risk assessments — across all building types and sectors, providing fire engineering input to complex projects.
